Hey, Friends of North87South!

WE'D LIKE TO SHARE WITH YOU this lovely testimonial from our friend, Dave Rutter, from Pagan Hellcats, that pretty much says what we're all about.

"Folks, remember this shared dream: You're driving down some lonesome two-lane highway, with nothin' but pine trees and pastures for so many miles, and suddenly you whiz past a place that might have been a gas station or a country store, but there's something about the sign you saw out the corner of your eye that makes you want to slow down and turn around and see what the hell it was --- just out of curiosity.

And ninety-nine times out of ten you get back there and it's just a bit of misunderstanding, a red flag that turns out to be an old grease rag, and you swear next time you'll just keep on gettin' it up the road.

But when you stop at NORTH 87 SOUTH you'll find that one out of one-tenth you thought you'd never see, a happy live music dance party club run by folks whose highest priorities have to do with YOU havin' a good time and the MUSIC sounding the best it can be, to make your sojourn at NORTH 87 SOUTH a delightful interlude along the highway of the day-to-day.

So, if you haven't heard of it already, this is a new place, FIVE MILES south of Saxapahaw on NC87, where this magic really happens.  You motor in from Chapel Hill/Carrboro via Chicken Bridge or Old Greensboro Highway, or up 87 North from Pittsboro.  Verne and Susan have their figurative red carpet rolled out for YOU.  Their place is new, so if you can, come and show them you care when somebody goes all out to make something beautiful out of seemingly nothing at all."

North87South is a labor of love, born out of our passion for music and for our community.

Our intent is to bring different kinds of musical experiences to the area, and to offer a space for the people in the community to hold their own special events.

Our goal is to take any profits and “pay it forward” by offering two annual music scholarships to deserving students from northern Chatham and southern Alamance County schools.

More info on our events page.
